- Baby Blue has the most irregular sleep schedule in the history of the world. On Thursday night, she was up every two hours. On Friday night, she was up every hour. Last night, though she still has the same cold that was bothering her on Thursday and Friday, she slept until nearly 5:00A.M. And then slept again until 8:30. And didn't get up for good until 10:45 this morning. Which was simply lovely. But I fear it means that getting her up for tomorrow's 9:30A.M. swimming lesson may be difficult....
- On the other hand, Baby Blue is quite regular about some things associated with going to bed and waking up. She cries every night when we tell her that we're "all dun" brushing teeth, chooses the same books to read every night, and says the same last words to me before going to sleep. First is "Ah wuh yuh!" (I love you), followed by, "MUH!"
- In the morning, she says, "MUH!" followed by "Ah wuh yuh!" Priorities, you know?
- Last night while we were getting LG ready for bed, Baby Blue crawled over and pulled herself up on LG's open dresser drawer. When I warned Baby Blue that it was time to close the drawer, she took her hands away and STOOD on her own two feet, all by herself, unsupported. LG and I gave her a (ahem) standing ovation, of course. So she repeated the feat ten or fifteen more times, until she was too tired to pull herself up anymore. Hey, maybe that's why she slept so well last night!
- It's not raining! I'm so happy! But I'm trying to restrain my enthusiasm a little. Because I know if I go outside for a long walk, the combination of eight days of rain plus today's high winds will mean that I'll spend all afternoon and evening incapacitated by a terrible sinus headache. Allergy shots have done wonders for me, but nothing can fully immunize me against a week's worth of mold spores dancing in the wind.
